Pile driving activity will be ongoing for approximately twelve weeks and will take place weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
The intersection of Orr and Day Road, from Longworth Avenue to Florence Avenue, has been closed for approximately two months (weather permitting), as of Tuesday, Nov. 28. While the intersection is closed, motorists will be directed to use an alternate route, as shown on the map below.
There is a temporary pedestrian route in place along the south side of Florence Avenue. Pedestrians can follow the route outlined in green on the map below. To explore the pedestrian route, click on the map below.
IMPERIAL HIGHWAY AND PIONEER BOULEVARD PROJECT
Crews will close Imperial Highway underneath the I-5 on Sunday night, January 14. Imperial Highway will be closed between southbound Frontage Road and Adoree Street from 9 p.m. Sunday, January 14 to 6 a.m. Monday, January 15 to allow crews to work on bridge falsework.
Crews will continue work on the Pioneer Boulevard bridge deck and installing falsework on the Imperial Highway bridge. In addition, crews will perform structure backfill behind abutments on Imperial Highway.
As crews work on Imperial Highway, Norwalk Boulevard and Pioneer Boulevard bridges at I-5, one lane in each direction may be closed on each street (at I-5) during the daytime, between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

These major milestones mark a significant step toward completion of the Rosecrans Avenue and Bloomfield Avenue bridge project. The work that remains over the next few weeks will include landscaping, electrical work, striping and other finishing work.
Next week, crews will close the southbound I-5 off-ramp at Rosecrans Avenue from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16 and Wednesday, January 17.
